So, what exactly are essential oils? Let’s sum it up. Essential oils are basically an extremely concentrated version of the natural oils found in various different flowers and plants. Ancient Egyptians were the first to use aromatic herbs and aromatherapy… (guess it’s in my blood). Fun Fact… I’m Egyptian! *Doo-doo-bada* OK. Back to the oils. So as you may have already known, aromatherapy is the most common use for essential oils. There are so many different oils that help with so many different things! Here are a few…
Peppermint Oil can help with
- providing headache relief
- enhancing memory and concentration
- relieving nausea
Lavender Oil can help with
- anxiety
- boosting immune system
- anti-inflammatory
- insomnia
*Lavender oil is considered to be the best and most effective essential oil. And it’s my personal favorite!
Sweet Orange Oil can help with
- slowing down breathing
- slowing down pulse
- higher levels of cheerfulness
- anxiety
Tea Tree Oil can help with
- acne
- rosacea
- eczema
Lemon Oil can help with
- toning skin appearance
- promoting circulation
- reducing wrinkles
These are just a few of the many uses and benefits essential oils provide us with. You can find an oil diffuser at your nearest Walmart, TJMaxx, or Amazon for as little as $15! A 1 ounce bottle of essential oil ranges anywhere from $12-$50. 1 ounce of essential oil will last you MONTHS! All you need is about 6 drops mixed in with water and you’re good to go.
